Mom and I cut out the pieces for my first dress. It ended up taking a very long time because the fabric had weird spots on it (that's why it was $1.50 a yard...) and it was hard to plan the pieces so the pattern will match. We figured it out in the end though!

I think I must have looked like a cartoon character.

Today, I was rollerblading. I was approaching an intersection at the bottom of a hill, so I was going pretty fast. I looked around to see if there were any cars. There was one, but he looked at me and stopped, so I decided to keep going. Then he started driving again. In order to stop myself fast enough, I had to stick my arm out and slam it into, ironically enough, a stop sign. Ouch.

Softball throw.

The pool filter is broken and it has been cold so the lifeguards were asked to help with a little kids' track meet instead of lifeguarding. This is us avoiding the softballs during the softball throw (the children were very bad at throwing anywhere near the conveniently placed measuring tape).

Bocce ballin'

Our Memorial Day cookout included an intense round of Bocce ball. The green team came up victorious. I think it's because they subconsciously wore their team colors. However, the yellow team (me and Em) got second! Hooray!

Rupert was placed in my room to be Uggo's new roommate until Katie returns. He was shortly thereafter banished to the living room due to the loudness of the filter in his tank.

Puppies are always nice.

Today we had to stay extra long at work. However, afterwards Becca and I went to say hi to these two dogs: Waylan who is very old and Willie who is very young. They cheered us up. I only had my camera phone which is why it looks like three black blurs.

I am working on my first felting project!

I poked around at the library's 10¢ book sale. I ended up with quite an interesting selection.

So domestic.

More baking!

I have worked so much this week, because I'm not involved with Tulip Fest. When I got home today my feet hurt so so much. Stupid all-black shoe rule slash me being too cheap to buy new all-black shoes.

On to state!

Katie's district track meet. She got a PR and is going on to state!

Chocolate kind of day.

Today, all I ate was chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate chip cookies, and a peanut butter sandwich for dinner.

Bubble Tea Experiments

I spent today attempting to make bubble tea. The finished product wasn't great, but it was decent. I am going to continue working on it. I have to...I'm 11 hours away from LJs!
