Pink Toolbox

Mom got me a pink toolbox for Christmas and then took a leg off the dining room table to show me how to use it.

So much snow!

We got about two feet of snow all at once.

Shark Hat

I finished Katie's Christmas present.

RIP Stephen

Finals week was too much for Stephen the brontosaurus.

Today was the Study Break Breakfast, and I took full advantage.

Happy Birthday!

Today I went bowling with some friends for Christina's birthday.

Friday, December 11, 2009

Today our pantry stayed closed by itself for the first time all semester!

Rock Band

Today was the WTHS Rock Band competition. The turnout wasn't fantastic and we had so many technical issues, but it was fun.

Tuesday, December 8, 2009

First time SB09 has met this year! Hertz and Molly came (via Skype) from Colorado and England!

Monday, December 7, 2009

The basement has become a Christmas gift center.

Sunday, December 6, 2009

Today at church all the college students got cookies!

Saturday, December 5, 2009

Today I ate dinner with Jillian in Phelps. I mentioned that I wanted to grab some fruit on my way out. Many of her friends helped, and I ended up with four bananas, three apples and one orange.

Friday, December 4, 2009

I finally cut the tags off my coat!

Thursday, December 3, 2009

First snow! This is the snow that is in the picture book about seasons. Perfect, fluffy snow.

No Shave November

What better way to end No Shave November than Hit Marcus in shorts?
The sad thing is that I actually shaved the first three Sundays in November because it was weirdly warm. So this is actually two weeks.

Sunday, November 29, 2009

Brake lights

We hit kind of a lot of traffic on the way back to Hope - yuck.

Take two.

Katie and I took more senior pictures.

Happy Turkey Day!

I had to take a picture of Katie's plate...mine was not representative at all.

Tuesday, November 24, 2009

This is a bad picture, and not really representative, but it is the only picture I took today. It is a welt left from Hit Marcus on Sunday. This is the longest one has ever lasted - it's even surrounded by a bruise!

Monday, November 23, 2009

Today Allison and I were going to the Kletz to get ice cream. We passed Phelps and I said "aw too bad we don't have a meal plan so we could just get free ice cream." Instead, we decided to stare at the window until we saw someone we knew. We saw Andrew Haggerty and got him to get us ice cream. What a great system.

Good Game[s]

Tonight me, Paul, David and Jillian played Hit Marcus for a couple hours. It was probably the funniest series of games I've played. There were quite a few awkward/hilarious hits. One of the games ended with all of us sitting on the floor, laughing until our abs were sore.

Bathrooms in Martha

Ali and I took pictures in the bathroom of Martha Miller for her to use for her drawing project.

Friday, November 20, 2009

I was waiting for Holly to call me, sitting at the kitchen table, with headphones in to drown out the "Gilmore Girls" in the living room and a candy cane in my mouth. I figured I looked silly and...I did.

Thursday, November 19, 2009

Candy cane season

Candy cane season has officially begun.

We tried (thai'd?) a new Thai place. I think this menu speaks for itself really.

Baby Dash

Today Allison's family visited and brought Dash! He is so tiny and fluffy and precious.

Saturday, November 14, 2009

Sometimes it is 70 degrees on November 14

Today it was gorgeous out. Lots of Pine Grove happened.

Our pal Denison Witmer

Today Paul and I interviewed Denison Witmer before his show at the Knick. He is a very good interviewee.

Today I donated blood. My arm looks very gross now because iodine stains and the bandage they used was SO STICKY. It got fuzz from my sweatshirt everywhere.

Also Allison just informed me that maybe I wasn't supposed to donate blood because I was just in Argentina. Is this true?

Return of the Jedi and Dante

So on Sunday I started to watch "Return of the Jedi." I got most of the way through, but I had to turn it off for the Gathering. Luckily, today in Cultural Heritage, Professor Portfleet introduced Dante by playing the end of "Return of the Jedi" EXACTLY WHERE I LEFT OFF. It was so good.

Monday, November 9, 2009

Maybe I need another hobby.

Today was my first Monday without radio (we switched for Wednesdays). I didn't have much to do so I knit (of course).

Sunday, November 8, 2009

Radio workspace

I worked on my paper in the radio station. And maybe knit some instead of paper.

Saturday, November 7, 2009

Guess Who

We tried to go to Nykerk, but there were no seats to be found. So instead we went to Kruitof to wait for the hockey game to start. We played Guess Who, but with only personality questions allowed. Examples: "would your person read Harry Potter?" I would just like to point out that I guessed the correct person when I was playing against Holly.

Friday, November 6, 2009

Amanda and I made cookies. Then Trevan and Paul came over. After that, we didn't really do much besides talk. But Trevan still managed to take about 75 pictures on my camera.

Thursday, November 5, 2009

Return to Frogtown!

Jessica came to visit and we watched "Return to Frogtown." It was Joe's first time. He didn't know I was taking the picture....that's just how emotional this movie is.

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

Mountain Goats!

Jillian and I went to see Final Fantasy and the Mountain Goats at Calvin. It was so fantastic. You know how some people have the kind of voice that, as soon as they start singing, you just think "oh my gosh his voice is real"? John Darnielle is one of those. He's great.

Tuesday, November 3, 2009

Amanda and I went for a bike ride. There were birds sitting on every inch of those wires, and then at the exact same moment they all flew away. How did they know?

Monday, November 2, 2009

My roomie, the nursing major.

I burned my fingers and and Allison put mustard on it.

Sunday, November 1, 2009

Symbiotic friendship.

Because of Jillian's allergies, she cannot eat Sunday Sundaes. So, she makes them and I eat them. Beautiful.

Saturday, October 31, 2009

We dressed like burritos and got two free ones each at Chipotle! Best part of Halloween.

Friday, October 30, 2009

Hope hockey

Second hockey game of the year, but first one that I went to! We won, obviously.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Civil litigation.

Today I read this book for "the Judicial Process" a lot.
