What better way to end No Shave November than Hit Marcus in shorts? The sad thing is that I actually shaved the first three Sundays in November because it was weirdly warm. So this is actually two weeks.
This is a bad picture, and not really representative, but it is the only picture I took today. It is a welt left from Hit Marcus on Sunday. This is the longest one has ever lasted - it's even surrounded by a bruise!
Today Allison and I were going to the Kletz to get ice cream. We passed Phelps and I said "aw too bad we don't have a meal plan so we could just get free ice cream." Instead, we decided to stare at the window until we saw someone we knew. We saw Andrew Haggerty and got him to get us ice cream. What a great system.
Tonight me, Paul, David and Jillian played Hit Marcus for a couple hours. It was probably the funniest series of games I've played. There were quite a few awkward/hilarious hits. One of the games ended with all of us sitting on the floor, laughing until our abs were sore.
I was waiting for Holly to call me, sitting at the kitchen table, with headphones in to drown out the "Gilmore Girls" in the living room and a candy cane in my mouth. I figured I looked silly and...I did.
Today I donated blood. My arm looks very gross now because iodine stains and the bandage they used was SO STICKY. It got fuzz from my sweatshirt everywhere.
Also Allison just informed me that maybe I wasn't supposed to donate blood because I was just in Argentina. Is this true?
So on Sunday I started to watch "Return of the Jedi." I got most of the way through, but I had to turn it off for the Gathering. Luckily, today in Cultural Heritage, Professor Portfleet introduced Dante by playing the end of "Return of the Jedi" EXACTLY WHERE I LEFT OFF. It was so good.
We tried to go to Nykerk, but there were no seats to be found. So instead we went to Kruitof to wait for the hockey game to start. We played Guess Who, but with only personality questions allowed. Examples: "would your person read Harry Potter?" I would just like to point out that I guessed the correct person when I was playing against Holly.
Amanda and I made cookies. Then Trevan and Paul came over. After that, we didn't really do much besides talk. But Trevan still managed to take about 75 pictures on my camera.
Jessica came to visit and we watched "Return to Frogtown." It was Joe's first time. He didn't know I was taking the picture....that's just how emotional this movie is.
Jillian and I went to see Final Fantasy and the Mountain Goats at Calvin. It was so fantastic. You know how some people have the kind of voice that, as soon as they start singing, you just think "oh my gosh his voice is real"? John Darnielle is one of those. He's great.
Amanda and I went for a bike ride. There were birds sitting on every inch of those wires, and then at the exact same moment they all flew away. How did they know?
