Today was very windy, but still very nice and sunny, so we went to the beach. Paul and I went swimming, and it was so nice. The water was the warmest it's been this year, and the waves were lots of fun.

Today, Jillian came over to Parkview and dyed her hair. While she did that we ate mini ice creams.

This is lots of my time lately.

Ceramics has been eating a lot of my time lately. As you can tell, at this point I still wasn't the best at the wheel - no uniform walls for me. Also this photo isn't necessarily representative...it's the only time I've used the electric wheel.

Finally

Swim team practice started today. This is great, because it gives me five more hours every week for homework. Today I used my two hours to catch up on ministry reading.

Girly colors for girls' night

Jillian and I made funfetti cupcakes (from scratch!) for girls' night.

African Children's Choir

The African Children's Choir performed in Dimnent tonight. They were fantastic - the music was so much fun and they are such good dancers!

We had nothing planned for dinner, so we got Little Caesers hot and ready pizzas and ate them at State Park!

No more DC

Today I decided to not go to DC after all.

Paul and I began our radio show today. We had many visitors, including Lizzy via Skype!

Trevan actually took this one. I went to the beach with him and Jillian. No homework was done, but it was a gorgeous day and we will soon run out of those!

Major failure followed by major success.

So today I tried to bake brownies. I failed to set a timer, whisked upstairs to take a shower (smelly smelly from camping), and completely forgot about said brownies. The burned, blackened brownies set off our fire alarm. All Parkview residents were hanging out on the lawn, campus safety came, and I had inedible brownies.

HOWEVER, later that night Jillian and I made chocolate pudding cake deliciousness and it worked perfectly! (pictured)

Hobo life

Jillian and I rode our bikes to the Bowl, made a tent out of tarps, and spent the night.

Coffee and conversation (and bubbles!) with Amelia.

Amelia and I went out for coffee and then went for a walk. It was very lovely.

Today I watched Project Runway with the girls in Boers Cottage.

Basement

Today I was reading downstairs in the basement and I accidentally fell asleep. I woke up at 2 a.m. hugging my book and then just stayed down there.

First Hit Marcus of the year! I have improved immensely since the first time I played. I hit Paul off a serve 3 times.

Jillian and I rode our bikes to the beach! It was a lovely day filled with yard sales, ihomes in bike baskets, jumping off the pier, and Thai food. To save our butts, we wore these cute/flattering bike shorts!

Mountain biking on a fixie

Jillian and I had a lovely afternoon, consisting of "homework" in Kollen Park, attempting to go thrifting, interesting murals, construction zones, mountains of debris, gorgeous secret park, and more construction.

After Tuesday Night Worship we went to Steak 'n Shake. Almost to Poll/Paul Cottage, we got stuck behind the longest train ever.
